This relatively modern cocktail uses Rye, Sherry, and Chocolate Bitters to recreate the taste of the Tootsie Roll candy. It's interesting (and encouraging) that the recipe isn't just loaded up with chocolate flavouring, but just relies on the ingredients interacting to create the desired affect. The chocolate comes through, of course, but this isn't a "chocolate" cocktail, it's a Tootsie Roll cocktail!

Servings 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  • 60 mL Rye
  • 30 mL Pedro Ximenez Sherry
  • 6 dashes Chocolate Bitters
  • Garnish with a Cherry

Instructions

  • Add your ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir everything until it's nice and cold.
  • Strain into a Coupe glass.
  • Add your garnish and serve. Enjoy.
