How Our Cocktail Search Engine Works

If you’re here, you’ve probably already discovered our cocktail search engine. Put basically, you can enter what ingredients or alcohol you have and the website will build you cocktails based on this. We’re always adding new cocktails and features, so check back frequently!

But how does it work? Sure, you can just browse all of our cocktail recipes, but if you’re new to cocktail making or just don’t know what you want/can make with what you have, aimlessly browsing cocktail recipes may not be the way to go, so we’ve done the work for you. The search is pretty easy, just:

• Enter in the cocktail ingredients you have (alcohol like spirits, liqueurs, etc.; mixers; juices; bitters; and more).
• The cocktail search engine goes through our cocktail database to compare what’s in your bar with what ingredients you have. It does this by going through each ingredient you have to compare it to what’s in a given cocktail recipe.
• You’re then shown a list of all the cocktails you can make with what you have on hand. All you need to do is decide what you want to make.

We’ve built our cocktail search website mostly for people who are newer to getting into cocktails, but it’s also great for people with a more established bar who can’t decide what to make. All in all, we want people to discover new mixed drinks or come back to old favourites.

Once you get to know the various cocktail ingredients and build up your bar, feel free to play with the cocktail search. You don’t need to put in everything you have, just the ingredients you want to work with! Who knows, maybe you’ll find a hit.
