About Us

What Cocktail Can I Make was created to help people figure out what cocktail they can make with the ingredients they have on hand. It’s also here to help people find and enjoy new cocktails they’ve never heard off. While we found similar sites on the internet that search for cocktails, we either weren’t happy with their functionality or how to use them.

So we created something ourselves! This has been a fun hobby project to learn more about cocktails as well as learn more about programing websites. We’re always adding new cocktails and more functionality, so check back often.

All you need to do is go to our cocktail builder, enter in the ingredients you have, and the generator will search our cocktail database to figure out what you make with what you have. Easy!

A Bit More About Us

We’re just a bunch of cocktail lovers who enjoy making and drinking cocktails, whether that be at home, at bars, or restaurants. Over the years we’ve amassed a decent collection of different bottles so we can try all the different cocktail recipes we can try. As we’ve gotten new bottles over the years, we’ve always looked for new recipes to try them out with. Because of this we’ve collected a fair few recipes from various sources including the internet, books, friends, and even the restaurants and bars where we first found a certain cocktail. We’re all cocktail lovers, but some of our writers have other interests as well, such a maintaining a beer blog. We also want to thank the team at Beachside Marketing for their help with some technical aspects of getting this site up and running.

We’ve endeavored to stay true to original cocktail recipes where ever possible. Some cocktail recipes are more than 100 years old and don’t have a clear history or original recipes. For these we’ve try to compare standard recipes and adjust accordingly. Other recipes are a little more modern, but there’s still variation depending on who makes them. Again, we’ve tried our best to find the original, or at least the spirit of the original!

Since we made the cocktail search function from scratch, there are still features we want to add. So for those who are curious, this is what’s coming up.
