Gin Martini
One of the most well known cocktails for a reason. A classic Gin (or Vodka) Martini is a great basis for a lot of different drinks, or simply a good way to taste different Gins.The Martini has a lot of variations, and while you may enjoy the variations more, it's a good idea to go back to the standard from time to time to see what it's all about. There's something to be said about the ease and simplicity of this classic mixed drink.
Ingredients
- 50 mL Gin
- 10 mL Dry Vermouth
- Garnish however you like
Instructions
- Mix Gin and Dry Vermouth in mixing glass with plenty of ice.
- Strain into a chilled Martini glass.
- Garnish how you like it. Drink.
Notes
While some people enjoy a Vodka Martini, the Gin Martini is the only "true" Martini, as the drink needs Gin to be considered a Martini. That being said, there are so many variations on the the classic Martini recipe, it's being a bit pedantic arguing over what the most proper Martini actually is.
