An Italian Margarita.

Italian Margarita

Print Recipe
If you like a Margarita, why not change things up a little bit with a bit of Amaretto. Try this side by side with the classic to see what you like better.
Just because you're adding Amaretto to this cocktail doesn't mean you should be using a cheap Tequila for this cocktail though. You'll get a much better drink with a better Tequila, so use a nice one. With that in mind, while the Triple Sec adds a bit of sweetness to the standard Margarita, Lime Juice and Tequila can be a bit sour. The additional sweetness from the Amaretto, with only a hint of bitterness, may be quite welcome. But all the more reason to use good Tequila! You want all those flavours playing together.
Other than that, even if you don't like Margarita, you may like this variation.
