Two glasses of Kansas City Ice Water with a bottle of vodka and a bottle of gin.

Kansas City Ice Water

Print Recipe
This cocktail combines Gin, Vodka, Lime Juice, Triple Sec, and Lemon Lime Soda for a very refreshing drink that's perfect on a warm day while sitting in the sun. There's a lot going on here, but like a lot of longer drinks, this one is designed to be refreshing while also having a kick.
What's more, this cocktail is extremely easy to make. Sure, there are a few ingredients in there, but they're also very common ingredients most people will have around the house; there's nothing too exotic. In a lot of ways, this cocktail is like a Gin and Tonic with a whole lot more going on. Sure, the G&T is a classic, but there's a lot more you can do with it.
You can make this cocktail as a single drink or increase the proportions to make a bigger batch to share with guests on any occasion. Enjoy!

Notes

We don't really have a history of this cocktail, other than assuming it was invented in Kansas City. That being said, a lot of cocktail are named after a city that they didn't start in.
Either way, we like the name of this cocktail! Kind of like with the Ranch Water, this cocktail sounds very unassuming, but it's a lot more thanks to a hefty kick of booze. So watch out, it's easy to enjoy one too many of these cocktail and end up having an early night.
