If you want to make a cocktail quickly or easily, look no further than this list of cocktails that only have three ingredients or fewer. Just because a cocktail doesn’t have a lot of ingredients doesn’t mean it’s not a good cocktail. In fact, simplicity is often a good thing for the perfect drink. You don’t need a lot of ingredients, and mixing the drink isn’t too complicated, but you still get a really nice drink out of it. So why not enjoy one of these great three ingredient cocktails.

If you don’t see something that interests you here, why not see what cocktail you can make with the ingredients you have at home. Otherwise, feel free to browse all of our cocktail recipes.

Here’s our favourite three ingredient cocktails:

An Aperol Spritz on an outdoor restaurant table.

Aperol Spritz

We’ll start with the Aperol Spritz, a simple Prosecco based cocktail that also has Aperol and Soda Water in it. Of course you can use any sparkling wine for this drink, but Prosecco is usually the way to go. A lot of people will try to eye ball the measurements, but we suggest you avoid this temptation; getting the right ratio of ingredients is key to making the perfect Aperol Spritz.

Other than that, this cocktail is extremely easy to make and every refreshing. You can even make a jug of it to share with friends. It’s that easy.

Mimosa

Sticking with Sparkling Wine based cocktails, we’re moving onto the Mimosa. The Mimosa calls for Champagne, but you’re welcome to use another sparkling wine. Other than that, all you need to do is add Orange Juice.

The Mimosa is designed to be the perfect brunch cocktail. Basically it’s an excuse to drink in the morning, which is alright with us! Of course you can also enjoy this cocktail at other times of the day, particularly in the early afternoon.

Anytime you have it, enjoy and have fun.

Vodka Martini

Sticking with the simplest of the simple cocktails, the Vodka Martini is only two ingredients: Vodka and Dry Vermouth. Mix these two ingredients together, add a bit of garnish, and enjoy.

The Martini can seem intimidating and overly elegant, but its elegance comes from just how simple it is. Plus most people have the basic ingredients at home; you know you’ll be able to quickly make one of these.

Moscow Mule

The Moscow Mule is a simple combination of Vodka, Lime Juice, and Ginger Beer, served with crushed ice. Technically a Moscow Mule needs to be served in a copper mug, but if you don’t have one of those on hand, any other glass will do.

White Russian

Staying in Russian, the White Russia is just Vodka, Kahlúa, and a bit of Milk. It’s extremely easy to make and just as tasty. While a Milk based cocktail doesn’t always sound like the most refreshing drink out there, the cocktail actually really works, and deserves to be on any list of simple three ingredient cocktails.

Have fun!

Piña Colada

Another wonderfully creamy three ingredient cocktail is the Piña Colada which just mixes White Rum, Pineapple Juice, and Cream of Coconut. As tropical and complicated as this drink looks, it’s actually very simple; most of it is in the garnish, which you can modify however you like with whatever you have.

If you have a Hurricane glass at home, this cocktail deserves to be served properly, but if you don’t, feel free to serve this drink however you want.

Classic Daiquiri

The Classic Daiquiri is another three ingredient easy to make cocktail with nice tropical vibes. All you need is White Run, Lime Juice, and a bit of Simple Syrup and you’re good to go.

Yum!

Classic Margarita

A Margarita is another easy to make cocktail with a refreshing tropical lean to it. The classic recipes calls for Tequila Reposado, Triple Sec, and Lime Juice, however if you have another kind of Tequila you’ll be fine. Make a batch of these with friends and have some fun.

Sea Breeze

A Sea Breeze is a refreshing combination of Vodka, Cranberry Juice, and Grapefruit Juice. It sounds like it may be a little bit tart but it’s actually quite easy and refreshing. You can’t go wrong with this simple cocktail.

Yake Hula Hickey Dula Cocktail

Although the name is a bit strange, this Dark Rum cocktail is a bit like a Martini, a bit like a Daquiri. Just combine Dark Rum, Dry Vermouth, and Pineapple Juice in equal measures for a refreshing tipple everyone is sur to enjoy.

Other than that, there’s not much more to say about this cocktail, other than it’s easy to make and very enjoyable.

Jean Harlow Cocktail

The Jean Harlow Cocktail mixes White Rum and Sweet Vermouth. In a lot of ways it’s a Rum Martini, but in many more ways it’s in a league of its own. Rum is great on its own, but the Vermouth takes the edge off a little bit for an easy to drink cocktail.

And at only two ingredients, it couldn’t be more simple to make.

Old Fashioned

The Old Fashioned is made from Bourbon, Simple Syrup, and Angostura Bitters; it’s one of the oldest cocktails out there and one of the simplest cocktails as well. While its three ingredients are obviously more than the two ingredient Martini, there’s almost a further simplicity to this drink.

And if you have a decent Bourbon (or any Whiskey) collection, this cocktail is a lot of fun to experiment with. Play with it and have fun.

California Surfer

Also called the Surfer on Acid, the California Surfer is made up of Coconut Rum, Jägermeister, and Pineapple Juice. This is a great but simple cocktail to make when you have some more unusual cocktail ingredients lying around the house.

Make this on the rocks, neat, or even as a shooter. Just have fun with it.

Negroni

The Negroni is a classic simple cocktail with only three ingredients. These ingredients are Gin, Sweet Vermouth, and Campari; something most people are likely to already have in the house. This just adds to this drink’s popularity.

The Negroni is so easy to make, it may become one of your go to recipes for just relaxing at home after a long day.

Put your feet up with a few of these.

Boulevardier

If you like a Negroni, you’ll love a Boulevardier. The ingredients here are Bourbon, Sweet Vermouth, and Campari, so pretty similar to the Negroni, just swapping the Gin for for Bourbon. The change of base spirit changes this cocktail up a fair deal, but it’s still very easy to make.

Try a Boulevardier side by side with a Negroni. See what you like best.
