Notes
Here’s Some More Stuff About the London Mule
If you’ve seen our Gin Buck recipe, you’ll notice some similarities! Really, the only difference between this and a Gin Buck is the addition of Lime Juice. In fact, we have seen Gin Buck recipes that suggest using Lime Juice. So it’s essentially the same cocktail.
Why did we add both recipes? Well, the prime purpose of this website is to help people make cocktails based on what they have, and the cocktail generator search engine only works off the ingredients in the cocktail itself. It’s not fancy enough to serve variations on a recipe. So we chose to put two different recipes in here!
But that’s sometimes how cocktails are, especially with basic cocktail recipes like this one. Sometimes there are slight variations with different names or even the same cocktail with a different name.
Is it OK to make a London Mule as a batched cocktail?
Yes, this would work really well. Although the London Mule is just made in the glass, you’re also welcome to make a larger batch in a jug then pour individual cocktails into glasses with ice in them. This way, it’s easy to make a nice big batch of cocktails to share with friends.
What happens if I make a London Mule to serve later?
This wouldn’t work very well because the Ginger Beer would lose its carbonation. Serve this cocktail as soon as you make it in order to make sure it’s as good as possible.
What’s the best opportunity for a London Mule?
If you’ve read a few of our Mule cocktail recipes, you’ll know what we’re about to say (sorry). A cocktail like this is a great replacement for a beer. There’s a little less liquid there, yes, but there’s still enough liquid in it to take your time with it and just enjoy. So put your feet up with a London Mule after doing some manual labour or just at a barbeque.
Is the London Mule strong?
Well, it’s the same strength as other Mule style cocktails! Sticking with the connection to beer, the London Mule will have more alcohol, so don’t go drinking it like a beer. But the London Mule has a lower ABV than cocktails made without ample mixer.
Is there good music that goes with the London Mule?
Go with something English, but ultimately play whatever music you’d like. This is a cocktail that’s built for relaxing with, so it’s important that you do you. So find your favourite English band, turn them on, and just relax.
Or don’t take our advice. It’s your cocktail to enjoy, so go ahead and enjoy it any way you want.
